Dallas Morning News News for Dallas, Texas McKinney News:
"Classic cars, sports cars, muscle cars, hot rods, even everyday cars. One thing they have in common is the love of their owners.
A 1962 Daimler is the perfect backdrop for a gathering of the Morning Maniacs, classic car enthusiasts who get together in McKinney to discuss car collecting, auctions, mechanical issues, restoration and swap meets. For car enthusiasts, nothing is finer than a sunny day doing what they are passionate about – driving and repairing their cars. From executives to engineers to college students, their love of cars is the great equalizer among the McKinney-based Morning Maniacs.
'We bring a group of people together with different educational and financial backgrounds, and the playing field is equalized because we all share the same interest with cars. We leave work issues, income and status aside,' said group member Gary Hamm."
